Masjid Yaseen was built in 1985. By the grace of Allah (SWT), it was one of the most active Masajids in the city of
New Orleans and the state of Louisiana. Masjid Yaseen served a Muslim community of 200 families with 5 times daily
prayers, dawa activities, and religious education in St. Bernard Parish.
Masjid Yaseen was the only masjid in New Orleans that was open 24 hours and never locked its doors.

main prayer area while another door at the left lead to a hallway which runs straight to the back.
Wall-to-wall carpeting was laid diagonally towards the Qiblah. At the back of the masjid area, was a space for
performing wudu (ablutions).
